Types of Services Available


Gladding Marine Survey is based in Orange Park, Florida serving the North Florida area from Brunswick Georgia to Daytona Beach, Florida with no travel charges. We will service the continental USA and the Caribbean with travel arrangements made in advance. The services we offer are:
  • Pre-purchase evaluation
    This is the most thorough and comprehensive inspection we offer.

  • Insurance Underwriting
    This type of survey may be periodically requested by your insurance company to determine if your vessel is an acceptable insurance risk.

  • Financial evaluation
    This is a limited inspection to ascertain condition for establishing a fair market value.

  • Damage Survey/Claims
    This survey will normally determine the extent of damages to your vessel and will help in acquiring repair estimates. This survey should be done prior to and after repairs.

  • On/off hire barge
    Inspection to verify condition of leased or rented equipment prior to taking possession and then upon return.

  • Commercial Surveys
    Surveys of push boats, bow tugs and other commercial craft for the same reasons as yachts and small craft.

Rates for surveys begin at $9.00 per foot with a minimum charge of $250.00. Evaluations and consultations with limited formal reporting are a minimum of $100.00. Survey estimates will be agreed to prior to the actual survey
